Ciclovia, The Tweed Ride, Sept 11 2011

Old time bicycles and outfits go from Assiniboine Park to the Manitoba Legislature.

and then to Dalnavert for some Croquet.

Organized by Steven Stothers.

The oldest bikes were from 1929 and 1941!

(along with Winnipeg’s Ciclovia.)

from the Downtown Winnipeg Biz website:

“WHAT CICLOVIA IS ALL ABOUT

In its third year, the Downtown Winnipeg BIZ, in conjunction with many stakeholders and sponsors, will put on this FREE eco-friendly, healthy-lifestyles festival and active transportation initiative that will see the north side of Broadway closed from Osborne to Main Street, creating a network of car-free streets from Assiniboine Park all the way to The Forks! Route Map
