Lumpy started when local artsists Melanie Wesley & Kami Goertz were inspired to create a collaborative project on a large scale. Both are sewers and love making plush and dolls so thought it would be fun to work together.Currently Lumpy is a blank canvas creature and the artists would like to know how he affects people who see him. Their vision for Lumpy is to include in his display a chance for viewers to embroider something on him and keep him as an ever evolving piece. Each trip he makes will make a mark on him and him on others as participatory art that you can touch, not just look at.
